In April 2024 The Dance Affinity will be taking two teams overseas to represent Australia at the

IASF Dance Worlds and The Dance Summit

in Florida, USA

The Dance Affinity’s Worlds & Summit Teams consist of 12 athletes aged from 11 - 18 years and is coached by Teagan Huntsdale and Kelly Buggs. This prestigious opportunity was awarded to the team at the 2023 DCE National Dance Championships where they were the proud recipient of

1 x WORLDS BIDS and 1 x SUMMIT DANCE BID

This is the second time The Dance Affinity have been afforded a bid to compete at this event, having taken a team of 12 dancers to compete at the 2022 Dance Worlds, placing 9th in the world for Open jazz & Open Lyrical!

 

What is The Dance Worlds and The Dance Summit?

To compete at this international event, dancers must earn their spot. Similarly to the Olympics, teams need to qualify and are selected based on skill level and only those who are granted a bid are eligible to compete.

The Dance Affinity will compete in Senior Jazz and Junior Jazz in the 2024 event
